What PondBiotix ME is designed to do
PondBiotix ME is designed for a different job than a general water-column treatment. The pellets sink into bottom deposits, helping target accumulated leaves, dead vegetation and other organic muck.
Application guidance
Broadcast pellets evenly over the treatment area. For a limited area, current guidance is about 3 lb per 1,000 square feet. Whole-pond dosing varies with the severity of muck accumulation.

Significant muck takes time to accumulate and time to reduce. For heavy deposits, repeated applications are usually more realistic than expecting one treatment to solve the problem.
What to expect from biological treatment
Biological pond products support natural decomposition and nutrient cycling. They are not contact algaecides and should not be presented as an instant cure for every algae or water-quality problem. Pond temperature, dissolved oxygen, organic loading, pH and continuing nutrient inputs all affect results.
Aeration matters
For most pond microbial programs, adequate oxygen and circulation improve the environment in which aerobic decomposition occurs. If a pond has heavy organic loading or low dissolved oxygen, address those underlying conditions along with the biological treatment.
